What began as a simple idea—make donating as easy as ordering takeout—has grown into a movement. This month, GiveBetter crossed the 7,600-donation milestone, with items reaching more than 25 vetted nonprofits across Chittenden County. From gently used furniture placed in refugee homes through USCRI Vermont to winter coats distributed by COTS at the Waystation shelter, every item finds a purpose.
"We've diverted an estimated 120 tons of usable goods from the landfill in the past year alone," said GiveBetter founder Erik Johnson. "That's 120 tons of impact—for families, for our community, and for the planet."
